When new appliances or other commonly used products are installed to increase your comfort or home value, many require exterior venting.

Because Ledgewood Hills seeks to maintain its architectural standards by keeping exterior changes to a minimum, and to ensure that changes conform to existing standards, homeowners obtain approval from the Association to install exterior venting of any kind.

As you work with your contractor to upgrade or install new appliances or units to enhance your living or safety, please keep in mind that any venting to be placed into an opening in the side of your building will need approval. 

Example of projects that may require new external venting include, but are not limited to:

• Air Conditioner
• Basement Appliances
• Bathroom Accessories
• Clothes Dryers
• Furnaces: Regular and High Efficiency
• Gas Ranges
• Gas Space Heaters
• Heat Pumps
• Microwaves
• Radon Mitigation Systems
• Water Heaters: Tankless and Regular
• Any other installation that requires a vent in the exterior building wall

Before you install, or contract to install a system that requires a new exterior vent to your unit, approval of the planned installation is required.  Please submit a Property Modification Request form to Property Management.
